Help Build a Vibrant Neurodivergent Community!

Why A Neurodivergent Community?

When I first discovered I was Autistic, I craved connection with others who were also neurodivergent. I found community in Facebook and Instagram groups, but as those spaces grew, conversations became more polarized, heated, and less constructive. Instead of feeling nourished, I sometimes felt more isolated.

That’s why I created a different kind of community, a welcoming haven for neurodivergent adults, especially those new to their journey of self-discovery. This is a soft landing pad where you can connect, learn, and grow alongside others who get it. A place where you can show up as your whole self, be met with acceptance, and help build an affirming neurodiverse space.

Our community centers on growth and connection. We celebrate neurodiversity, most of our members are AuDHD, and welcome all neurotypes. Here, we share the full range of our experiences, from awkward and funny moments to proud milestones and deep growth. You’re not just a passive member, you’re part of the conversation. Your voice and story matter here.

Whether you’re looking to connect with fellow neurodivergent adults, deepen your neurodivergent-affirming practice as a therapist, or navigate the journey as a parent, you’ll find your place here.

What Members Are Saying…

Membership Resources

In a world full of information, it can be hard to find resources that are both research-based and truly neurodivergent-affirming. At Neurodivergent Insights, we blend research and lived experience to support neurodivergent adults in building positive identities and unlearning harmful messages.

Our work is grounded in science, shaped by real experiences, and rooted in a neurodiversity-affirming lens. We honor the voices of neurodivergent adults, including those from LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities.

As a member, you’ll gain access to a growing library of tools and insights, designed to inform, affirm, and empower.

Is this community right for me?

This community is for you if:

  • You’re open to learning, even when it’s uncomfortable.

  • You value curiosity, reflection, and nuance over certainty.

  • You can give others grace, knowing we’re all at different points in our journey.

  • You’re willing to lead with care and vulnerability.

  • You value calling people in over calling out.

  • When you feel activated, you try (or are learning) to pause before responding.

  • You value intersectionality and understand that neurodivergence often overlaps with other marginalized experiences.

This space might not be for you if…

  • You’re in crisis or recently completed inpatient care. (The Nook isn’t designed for crisis support and is best for those in a more stable season.)

  • You struggle to tolerate differing perspectives or learning paces.

  • You often respond reactively when activated.

  • You want a space free from challenge or new ideas.

  • You hold racist, transphobic, or homophobic beliefs.

Important Disclaimer:

Understanding Our Space

The Nook is an educational and community space, not therapy. It’s designed to support learning, exploration, and connection, and works best as a complement to mental health care, not a replacement.

Because self-discovery can bring up strong emotions, we encourage anyone with a recent trauma, psychotic episode, or hospitalization to have support from a therapist or physician while engaging in this work. Our team and community cannot provide crisis or clinical support.

To keep this space safe for everyone, please avoid sharing detailed trauma stories in sessions, posts, or DMs. General context (like “I have a trauma history”) is welcome, but graphic details can be triggering, and deeper trauma work is best supported by professionals.

If you’re seeking an affirming space to unmask, learn, and connect in community, you’re in the right place.
