Very insightful and affordable resource, providing much needed development in understanding Autism, particularly in women. As a misdiagnosed adult, this information has been life changing.

Not a practicing clinician; reading for personal learning. To me the most valuable thing in this resource was the empathy and clarity with which the author described relevant symptoms, tendencies, traits, etc. especially in BPD but in Autism as well, given how broadly misunderstood and stigmatized these can be. I would have appreciated more in-depth information especially having to do with physiology/neuropsychology, and especially in shared areas of overwhelm and shutdown. Overall though I think this resource is a valuable contribution & would recommend. It’s very accessible and well organized.

I read this entire book in a day (a rarity for me). I was recently diagnosed with Autism – after having been misdiagnosed with BPD around 20 years ago. This resource is AMAZING! I love the side-by-side comparisons – the overlapping parts and the explanations of the differences. And reading the gracious explanation of the “why” of the symptoms of BPD nearly moved me to tears. As someone long misdiagnosed and as someone who has worked in the mental health field – I know the awful weight and stigma with that disorder. I wish this explanation was part of every discussion of BPD symptomology. People with BPD are not inherently bad or manipulative people. I cannot speak highly enough of this resource.
